The interview is long, so here's a first delivery. @ S been attentive to the following lists because there is nobody better than them to know man or proxecto "Fortalecemento das das capabilities microcunca communities do Rio da unha SASL for two sostible xestión Natural Resources."
Don Carlos: Good afternoon everyone, my name is Carlos Ortiz Rocha, I am tércnico of NGO FIDER Jinotega, I have about 5 years working for this institucición, I have much experience in folklore work, I have worked in other organizations and coffee farms and technical, but here in FIDER the first experience I had when I came to work here was in a draft that was on Environment Management wet processing, reduction of water honey and coffee pulp, to avoid further polluting the waters of the Emerald community. I have also worked on the recovery here in FIDER portfolio (credit). At the present we are working on a project to improve the environment in the watershed of the Rio SASL and have approximately two years, and we are working with a grant from Galicia. I think this project is one that has lasted longer with us and we had enough experience. Thank you for this project was given by you, the Galician, thank you very much, have helped us enough, we as technicians, to the institution and the community, community is very grateful for you and you are walking on a fairly gigantic of them to work, thank you very much, we expect you to always keep fighting to help the peasants who have less, that are most deprived. And we, therefore we can not ignore that we are helping them technically. Thanks.
Don Silvio: Good afternoon, my name is Silvio Morales , took about 25 months of work in FIDER, previously worked at a state institution that was related much to the care of the environment. In this case the institution is called MARENA (Ministry of Environment Management and Natural Resources). In MARENA I worked thirteen, twelve years and then came to work here in FIDER. Previously, before I was in MARENA, I was working in a private company that is producing chickens, then I was there running a farm that had them at that time. My preparation is Technician in Agricultural Administration, I have also had experience in working in coffee plantations, and the truth is that this was also a very interesting project, then, because the truth is I've never been in a project something like this having FIDER, and the community has managed to get ahead because of their commitment, then, because it has the will to improve their farms, and improve their standard of living. We, therefore, with little knowledge we have tried to convey that knowledge, but also very grateful to the Xunta de Galicia, which is giving financial support and the boys, then, that we have visited and helped us also to develop our tasks, which are those that integrate Engineering Without Borders. Then, the community, as Carlos said, is very grateful for the support you have given and we want the truth that this support does not end here and if they could continue to support these communities would be very good ... Just thank you for all your support again.
Could you describe what your job functions related to the project "Strengthening the capacities of communities in the watershed of the Rio SASL for sustainable management of natural resources?"
Silvio: Well, apart from preparing the documents to which we will distribute the different skills, we also provide technical assistance to producers regarding the various issues we've seen in the project. In this case, for example you could mention the fact of growing fruit because it is something new for them because the truth is that there was no fruit in the properties of small producers. For example, the fact also support them with expertise in the coffee nurseries and establishment of this later, as to the care of the bristles, although they handle it well in a traditional way because we've wanted to come with some issues they unknown, for the care of pigs and sows. We also produce reports of project activities, which are sent in this case I think FIDER Managua and then to the Xunta de Galicia. Besides it is also important that we have been able to establish an excellent relationship with the beneficiaries, then the fact that not only we can apply our knowledge but has given a fitting with people in the community and also due to the strong will to do things they have achieved much success in this project because of no avail that we were coming to our knowledge to them and say 'look, do this, make the other "if they are unwilling. The most important thing is that the vast majority of producers have managed to change their attitude to improve their farms and improve their standard of living.
Carlos: Something I should add here is that when we enter into that community, they worked almost traditional but with the help of the Regional Government and of all the Galician and the experience that we have in the field as ingeñeros agronomists, we passed what we know them. One of the great successes we have had in preparing training materials and we've taught them and they have captured enough, all the work we've done with them they have done not 100 percent but if a 70, 80 percent is good. They now know what an agroforestry, a soil conservation ...
