A true capital of the first magnitude in the Baroque world, and is presented in the book Ecija, under the coordination of Professor Juan Miguel Gonzalez, has been set up recently under the title Baroque Ecija, published under the auspices of the Rural Development-Alcores The Countryside of Seville.
In this volume, says Gonzalez himself, "is being presented to the reader, under different approaches major artistic events of the city during the XVII and XVII centuries, both in regard to civil and religious art, "he explains. A rich mosaic that makes Ecija" the baroque city par excellence, and certainly "a milestone separate entity among the great cities of the Baroque in Spain, "it added.
The architecture, sculpture and painting, but also the decoration, furniture, silverware, or world music holidays are some of the issues under consideration in this book, which have contributed their expertise with nine teachers and specialists in the Department of History of Art University Seville, including two Ecijano.

promoted emergency Excavations in the vicinity of Archaeological de Carmona (Sevilla), which houses the famous Roman necropolis investigated by George Edward Bonsor, have resulted in the discovery of a Roman family tomb dating from the first century Christ, as reported by the City Council, run by Antonio Cano. The tomb, created in the second half of the first century after Christ, have taken part at the time of the Roman necropolis of Carmona and consists of a well that gives access to a burial chamber.
